Nic Rue – Moth Cyanotypes

BA (Hons) Photography – Work in Progress

Edinburgh Napier University final year photography student Nic Rue will be showing new work as part of the Photography BA (Hons) Degree Show & Festival of Creative Industries 2015.

Here’s Nic’s explanation of the project…

“Here is a video that gives a little insight into my process for making my moth cyanotypes. It’s very condensed, but hopefully interesting.

British moths are major pollinators who are facing extinction due to environmental pressures such as habitat destruction, chemical and light pollution. Because most are nocturnal, their absence is often difficult to notice.”

The moth cyanotypes will be exhibited at the Napier Degree Show and at Free Range in London.
