Strange Machines, Design and Digital Arts

Strange Machines is a vision of hybridisation based upon research into possible futures, consciousness and transhumanism. We find artificial intelligence (A.I.) becoming more and more ubiquitous in our daily lives. When we think of A.I. our minds conjour up images of machines built in our own image. However, if we put aside our own vanity and the semiotics of popular culture, machines might just have the ability to be conscious. We might not be able to identify machine consciousness, or accept the possibility that it can exist. Nevertheless, we cannot rule out anything or live in an unconscious world of absolutes.
