Make sure to visit our photography department at merchiston campus this week to see the fantastic work produced by our students.
all the art work on display has been produced by fourth year students for their final year projects and cover a range of themes and styles from iconic woodland shots to full frontal male nudity.
Also amongst the projects is best in show award winner “Denied” created by photography student Denitsa Toshirova.
By having the sitters photographed from behind, denied questions the traditional formula of the ID photograph. The project aims to open up a wider debate around the power of looking, focusing on the viewers individual interpretation as a means of exploring stereotypes and common prejudice.
